Cayman Islands Blood Bank temporarily pauses donations after overwhelming public response

The Cayman Islands (CI) Blood Bank advises that it is placing a temporary pause on all donations in light of the impressive public response to appeals to assist Jamaica’s recovery following Hurricane Melissa. 

The pause will allow the department to process existing supplies and ensure all donations are used efficiently and safely. 

Donations are expected to resume in the coming weeks, and the public will be notified once collections have resumed. 

The CI Blood Bank thanks all donors for their compassion and solidarity, and continued commitment to saving lives across the region.
